Are your eco-resin pieces food-safe?
Our eco-resin and jesmonite pieces are decorative items and are not food-safe. They are not designed for food contact. Please use them as display objects, catch-alls, or decorative trays only.
What is eco-resin / jesmonite made from?
Eco-resin (jesmonite) is a composite material made from a water-based acrylic polymer and a mineral base. It is non-toxic, solvent-free, and biodegradable over time — making it a preferred material in conscious design compared to traditional epoxy resin.
Will the colour fade over time?
Our pieces are pigmented using mineral-based oxides which are highly stable. Colour is generally very durable, though prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause slight fading in lighter pieces over many months.
Can I use this as a candle holder?
Yes — our trays and bowls work beautifully as candle holders. Always place a candle in a proper candle holder first before placing on the tray, to protect the surface from heat and wax drips.
Is it watertight?
Eco-resin is moisture-resistant but not fully waterproof. It is suitable for holding dry items and light jewellery. Avoid filling with water or leaving wet for extended periods, as prolonged moisture can affect the surface over time.
