Your idea. Your story. Your candle. Start with a photograph, a sketch, a logo, a meaningful object, or simply an idea — we develop the form, create the master and mold, and hand-craft the finished candle for you.

You do not need a finished design
Bring as much — or as little — as you have. A rough sketch, photographs, a logo, a flower, an architectural detail, or a concept described in words can all be starting points.
Visual story
This is how a client’s original inspiration evolves — into a refined sketch, a 3D design, a production-ready master and mold, and finally the finished candle.
A vision for a feminine, timeless piece — graceful, artistic, and serene.
The concept takes shape with a hand-drawn sketch, refining proportions, details, and flow.
A detailed 3D model brings the design to life, ensuring every curve and detail is refined for production.
A physical master is crafted and a silicone mold is made, capturing every detail for consistent, high-quality casting.
The finished candle — a sculptural piece made to bring beauty, calm, and meaning into every space.
More than a candle. A piece of art.
You are not buying an existing candle with a small change — you are commissioning a candle from concept to finished sculptural object.
Start My IdeaOur process
The project is divided into clear approval stages so you always know what is being created before we move to the next physical step.
Upload references, describe the concept, dimensions, quantity, color, fragrance, and intended use.
Your concept becomes a 3D design engineered not only to look beautiful, but to work in wax.
Custom design projects include up to three rounds of refinements within the agreed creative direction.
Nothing moves into master and mold production until the final design has been reviewed and approved.
The master, the 3D-printed resin mold, and the finished candle are created, tested, poured, and hand-finished in our studio.
Small refinements stay within the agreed concept. A completely new subject, a major proportion change after approval, or a new creative direction may require a revised project scope.
Make it truly yours
Instead of hiding critical specifications inside a general notes box, the project brief captures them clearly from the beginning.
Height, width or diameter, and depth are collected separately, in the units you prefer.
Choose a direction, describe a shade, or upload a visual color reference for closer matching.
Choose scented, unscented, or ask for guidance based on the design and intended use.
Materials matter
Every custom candle starts with 100% natural soy wax — paraffin is never used. Scented projects use carefully selected, phthalate-free scent materials appropriate for candle making.
Clean-burning, natural wax formulated to hold fine sculptural detail.
The custom collection stays aligned with Votive Candle Co.’s broader material philosophy.
Scent materials are chosen carefully for suitable candle applications.
Wall thickness, detail, structure, and wick strategy are considered before the design is finalized.
Sample approval
For qualifying multi-piece orders, the finished design can move through a sample-approval stage before the remaining quantity is produced.
After the mold is completed, a first candle can be poured and documented with detailed photographs or video for approval.
When appropriate, a physical pre-production sample may be shipped for hands-on review before the larger order proceeds.
Designed once. Ready to return.
Once a custom design is approved and the production system has been developed, reorders of the same design can move directly toward production rather than beginning the creative process from zero. If a mold eventually requires replacement, it can be reproduced from the approved production design.
No new creative-development stage for an unchanged approved design. Changes to size, structure, or creative direction are reviewed as a new variation.
Ownership & exclusivity
A personal commission and a proprietary commercial product have different needs. Votive Candle Co. can support both without giving away valuable design rights by default.
Your original logos, trademarks, artwork, and materials remain yours. Votive Candle Co. retains ownership of the newly created 3D production files, master-making methods, and tooling unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
For brands & signature projects
Need a candle form reserved specifically for your brand, hotel, event concept, or product line? Design exclusivity or expanded rights can be arranged separately and defined in writing before the project begins.
Payment & project commitment
Custom work requires design time and materials before a finished candle exists, so each project begins with a written scope and payment schedule. Shipping is free on every order, custom included.
You receive a project proposal outlining the agreed concept, deliverables, estimated production requirements, and payment milestones. Custom design work begins after the required design/development payment is received.
Once the 3D design is approved, any remaining production payment due under the proposal is completed before master, mold, or batch production begins. Larger commercial projects may use agreed milestones stated in the proposal.
Frequently asked questions
The aim is to make a one-of-a-kind commission feel exciting without making the process uncertain.
Up to three rounds of design refinements are included within the original agreed concept. A new subject, substantially different proportions, or a new creative direction may require a revised scope.
Yes. The inquiry form accepts reference images and common design documents so you can show the idea rather than trying to explain every detail in words. Since this form doesn’t attach files directly, we’ll follow up by email right after you submit so you can send them to us.
Yes. The design is reviewed and approved before we create the final physical master and production mold.
For qualifying production orders, yes. A sample can be reviewed through photographs or video, and a physical sample may also be arranged when appropriate.

Tell us about your dream candle
You do not need a perfect drawing or a 3D file. Tell us what the finished candle should become, and we’ll follow up personally with next steps.
One inquiry = one custom design concept. For multiple different designs, submit each concept separately so each can be evaluated properly.
