Do these pillars need a holder?
A flat plate or tray under each pillar is recommended during extended burns. No specialized holder is required — both stand on a flat base.
How does the ribbing look as the candle burns?
The vertical ribs create shifting light and shadow as the flame moves — exactly what the ribbed profile was designed to do. The exterior remains visible through most of the burn as the candle burns from the inside out.
