The pillar is the oldest sculptural form. Before the column, before the obelisk, there were standing stones — menhirs, dolmens, the great uprights at Stonehenge — which is to say that the impulse to place a vertical form on a surface and let it mean something runs deeper than civilization. The sculptor Constantin Brancusi spent a career returning to this: his Endless Column in Romania repeated a ribbed module stacked upward, as if the pillar itself could be the subject of art.
The Minimalist Ribbed Pillar Candle takes the same logic at table scale. Hand-poured from 100% natural soy wax at our Orlando studio, the vertical ribbed surface catches light differently at every angle. Unscented, so the form can work in any room without announcing itself. Available in 10 colors — Ivory through Black — each individually poured and finished.
